Becoming a member of the association that operates Shoalhaven FM is easy and membership entitles you to be a part of the team of volunteers that makes up, Shoalhaven FM, Your Community Radio !! If you have skills, we can use them, if you have a passion for music, you can share that passion with Shoalhaven FM's audience and present your own program on Shoalhaven FM. Shoalhaven FM will provide you with training and you can train at a pace that you find comfortable and that suits your situation.
After training of a few hours, YOU will be able to conduct your own program on Shoalhaven FM
(pending availability of a suitable time slot).
If you don't aspire to be a radio presenter, Shoalhaven FM can offer you other opportunities for you to volunteer your time and skills, in areas such as;
- Technical, IT,
- Website construction and maintenance,
- Multimedia production,
- News gathering,
- Administration,
- Accounting, etc.

Membership renewals are subject to a 100% discount where member contributes in excess of 24 hours/year volunteer time in station activities.

Our membership fees are easily affordable and with the 100% discount
that comes into effect once a member contributes 24 hous or more of
voluneer time in station activities, ongoing costs can be NIL. You pay
a membership fee only once if you are an active member. Membership
entitles you to be involved with the many aspects of operating a radio
station including program production & presentation, technical,
administraive, sales, news gathering, interviewing and research. You
will be given basic training as part of your membership. Shoalhaven FM
will soon be offering accredited training courses for our members who
have visions of a career in the industry.
Our NEW broadcast & production studios in the Shoalhaven City Arts Centre offers a safe, comfortable & rewarding environment for our members & guests. The Shoalhaven City Arts Centre is conveniently located at the centre of the CBD at #12 Berry St, Nowra close to adequate parking or public transport if required.
Members are expected to attend the organizations Annual General Meeting which is generally held in April every year.
